DISCIPLINE
We believe in firm but kindly discipline and expect children to obey school rules. There is a policy of rewards and sanctions and we work positively with parents to eliminate inappropriate attitudes and behaviour. We appreciate parent's co-operation in order to maintain standards of good behaviour and respect for other people and their property. HOME/SCHOOL LIAISON A child's first educators are his/her parents and we welcome liaison with them. Open Evenings are held regularly for parents to discuss their child's progress and an annual written report is issued at the end of the school year. At any time parents are welcome to discuss any aspect of their child's progress and welfare, should there be a concern. We benefit greatly from voluntary assistance given in many ways by parents during the school day. Parents help with hearing reading, practical maths, computer skills, cookery, sewing, artwork, technology etc. Please contact your child's teacher if you can help in any way. HOMEWORK Children will regularly bring home school work and parental help is appreciated in the learning of spellings, multiplication tables and the practising of reading, etc. At other times children are encouraged to explore and research facts and collect materials for class and individual projects.. |
