Introduction to Carrington Infant School from
the CHAIRMAN OF GOVERNORS

I am very pleased to introduce CARRINGTON INFANT SCHOOL to you. As you read through our website, I hope you will gain a sense of the caring, nurturing environment we are proud to offer.

Our philosophy at Carrington is a simple one – OUR PUPILS COME FIRST.

We firmly believe that all children have a right to an education which is full and productive and relevant to modern-day needs. The prime concern of our Governors and staff, therefore, is to ensure that we deliver just such an education and that we deliver it in an environment which allows our pupils to flourish and enjoy their learning.

Our Governing Body Mission Statement has been drawn up to encompass these objectives:

The aim of the School’s Governing Body is to consider the needs and the wellbeing of the pupils before all else.

In so doing, opportunity will be created for everyone in the Carrington Infant School community:

  • Opportunity to learn and work in a secure, supportive, stimulating and happy environment where the individual is valued and respected and values and respects others in return.

  • Opportunity to grow, as children and adults, academically, socially, emotionally, morally and spiritually.

  • Opportunity to achieve full potential at any level and to take a place in society with confidence, pride and a positive self-image.

I hope you will accept our invitation to visit Carrington Infant School and experience for yourself the opportunities we can offer your family. We would be delighted to welcome you.

Yours sincerely
CHAIR OF GOVERNORS
