Fun in the Forest!
Last week the children had great fun toasting marshmallows in Forest School! They learnt all about keeping safe around a fire and then enjoyed eating their tasty marshmallows!

Children in Need!
Ruby Class looked fantastic dressed up for Mufti Day on Friday for Children in Need! Thank you for all the kind donations. The children especially enjoyed a visit form Pudsey Bear himself on Wednesday afternoon. What a surprise!

The Carrington journey begins!

Toasting marshmallows on the fire!
This month we have been making winter crafts and talking about the change in seasons. The children learnt how to use and make story maps for several fairy tales and enjoyed creating their very own gingerbread men! We have been using Numicon to make addition sums and have really enjoyed learning about 3D shapes!
December was a very busy month with the arrival of our class elf, wonderful performances of our nativity-"Shine Star Shine" and many more exciting experiences!

It has been a busy few weeks in Early Years! Everyone sung beautifully during Harvest and we were all very proud of them!
The children have been having lots of fun with natural objects this month and enjoyed talking about Autumn and the changes they have noticed. Ruby class have particularly enjoyed using their creative flair when decorating pine cones, making leaf creatures and exploring leaf rubbings. It has been lovely to see the children building new relationships with each other and working as a team, especially when potion and perfume making!
This week our theme is "The Gruffalo" and the children have been creating their own individual Gruffalo out of playdough and have been using their scissor skills to cut and decorate snakes from the story! We are all looking forward to The Gruffalo performance on Wednesday!
