What a fantastic Harvest festival we were able to celebrate last week. The new vicar, Rev. Dwyer, inspired us all with his recount of the story of the loaves and fishes. Many thanks to Reverend Dwyer for his support with this event and for the support from all of his team at Christchurch.
Thank you to all our wonderful Carrington families for your amazing generosity. We received over 90 harvest boxes to donate to local families. You can see from the smiles on the faces of the children delivering the boxes and the recipients that this was a very positive experience for all. Mrs Cliffe encouraged the children to think of the Harvest boxes as boxes of kindness to build on our kindness pots in every classsroom which we share each week.
It was fabulous to be able to share the service with families at home through a streamed broadcast.
Thank you to all the teachers for their hard work preparing the children so well for their presentations of songs and poetry. Well done to every single child. You walked sensibly to the church, performed with confidence and were superb amabassadors for the school throughout the morning.
