Welcome to Carrington Infant School Carrington Infant School is a co-educational LEA maintained school for pupils aged 4-7 years. The school is situated in a delightful semi-rural setting in the village of Flackwell Heath, near High Wycombe. Carrington Infant School was opened in 1965 and is named after the Carrington family to whom the land once belonged. The school has a Early years department for 4 year olds and a unit for children with Social Communication Difficulties. There are two hard play areas and a playing field. A spacious library contains a large selection of fiction and non-fiction books. Children are encouraged to take books home as well as using the library for study and enjoyment. A music room and an art room enable children to experience early concepts of the arts which benefit their education, and there is an IT suite which is time tabled for the weekly use of each class. The school was awarded recognition as an 'Investor in People' in 2001 and this was reconfirmed in April 2005 and more recently in April 2008. In 2002 the school was awarded the Schools Achievement Award.
