Some photos taken in a Year 2 music lesson based on the Great Fire of London.

Monday 16th July Rock Steady Music Performance

Today we were entertained by all the children who participated in Dan’s pop group lessons. It was fantastic! The confidence oozed from the little superstars as they performed their carefully rehearsed songs. Congratulations to you all. It was great to see so many parents in the audience.

Thursday 21st June 2018

Today we had a visit from the Junk Orchestra. Each class attended a workshop in the hall with Saul and his amazing instruments, all were made from recycled objects.

All the children had the opportunity to play a range of different of different instruments.

At the end of the day the whole school came together for a special performance assembly led by Saul. He even got the teachers involved!

Everybody had a great day!

Thursday 29th March

Today Mrs Cooper's lunchtime recorder club performed 4 tunes to the rest of the school during our last assembly of the Spring Term. They were very brave and were brilliant! Well done to you all!!

Monday 26th March

Today the whole school had a real treat!  Dan, from 'Rock Steady Music' put on a performance with all the children who have instrumental lessons with him. The  children were FANTASTIC and the rest of the school were an amazing audience. It's great to see how their confidence is growing.

Here are a few photos....

On Friday, 16th March Year 2 took part in a “Sing, Perform, Inspire” workshop led by Chiltern Music Academy. The aim of these workshops is to inspire children to reach a high standard of performance in less than 3 hours, and to raise their confidence and self esteem as they perform a short video recorded concert to Headteachers and Governors.
220 children from six different schools came together for the morning and responded brilliantly to the leadership and teaching of Mrs Venvell and Mrs Marsh. The children (and staff!) learnt three songs and were able to perform them with style, focus, passion and musicality. The audience of Headteachers and Governors were extremely impressed, and all the children should be congratulated on their fine performance.
