Talk and Toast is a daily initiative that runs from 8:30am-8:50am. One of our curriculum drivers this year is oracy. We are always looking at further ways that we can support children in their confidence to speak aloud and in a group. Talk and Toast gives plenty of opportunities for children to talk about their day, their morning, what they are looking forward to or anything else that may pop into their mind. The school day is super busy and it is a shame to say that these spontaneous opportunities for talk are not always possible as we have our sparkling curriculum to deliver so we always look for extra opportunities to promote oracy.
