EYFS Trip to Woolley Firs

Wednesday May 18th 2022

Opal and Ruby class really sparkled in the sunshine at Woolley Firs environmental centre. They were all very excited to be there but still managed to do fantastic listening, thinking and speaking all day. Chief Teddy invited the children to become Teddy Guardians and the children all passed this challenge with flying colours.

They all brought their special cuddly toys with them to Woolley Firs. First of all they found lots of bears hiding in the woods, then they created shelters for their cuddly toys. Later on they found food for their bears, did a teddy bear dance, learnt a teddy bear poem and made sure their cuddly toys had a long drink.

The staff at Woolley Firs said how impressed they were with the Forest Skills, listening and independence of the Reception children. A sparkling day! Well done to all the staff, helpers and children for such a successful trip.
